Hospital introduction

• The roots of Asan Medical Center lie in the 'Asan Foundation,' established in 1977 by Chung Ju-yung, the Chairman of Hyundai Group, with his private funds.

• With the goal of creating a world-class hospital to elevate Korea's medical standards and serve as the parent institution for regional Asan Hospitals, Asan Medical Center was established on June 23, 1989.
